as an ARTIST I present an answer to a viewer as a TEACHER I present a question to a student
and both begin with the same question HOW DO YOU DESIGN A DISCOVERY?
Mr. Hoegar English A.P., 12th Grade Mr. Hoegar's lessons on "High-Brow and Kitschy Culture" exposed me to just how far the world of culture stretched beyond my highschool, and was the first one to show me how fascinating everyday things can be when created by artists, such as houses.

From "Ways of Seeing" by John Berger As an artist, I am empowered with awareness of my own perspective, and therefore, given the cognitive ability to change my own perspective. I am forced to be aware of my place as a creator in a community bigger than myself. and my role to make that community a better place.
